Ahoy Cathuggers~~

So we have now been live for 23 days now and things are going along well, we think!
The ship is big and yet you have been finding your way around fairly well. We would like to give special thanks to Furmonster Mom for her informative and useful guides in the Main Deck forum, called "Learning the Ropes". Its a very good place to start.

The main reason for this blog post is to let you all know about all the many features on the site that you may have overlooked.
The Explore tab is very important. Within it are many useful links.
The Events tab is excellent for things like Auctions and Fundraisers. Know someone who needs help with vet bills or other emergency? Post it under Events and keep track of it all in one organized place.
The Marketplace is a great place to sell your wares. First Mates and Admirals may post items for sale while all members may purchase items. If you make handmade items and list them elsewhere and pay a commission, list them here. We dont take any part of your sale. We simply ask that you support our site by upgrading your membership to at least a First Mate.
Our newest feature, Links, allows you to share a story from another source and post the link as well as a thumbnail and a brief snippet from the story in the main feed.
Everything you post can also be shared on Facebook and many other popular social networking sites.

This ought to keep you busy for awhile!

Early Friday morning,April 1, 2011, 12:00am EST cathugger.com was launched!
We worked for over ten months to build this site and we sure do hope all of you will join us aboard the rescue ship Archangel...and have FUN!!
There is so much to do here.
Everyone has a profile and can add their cats, who also have their own profiles.
We have a ship schematic with clickable links that will take you on a trip to most any place you could ever want to go.
There is a Wedding Chapel where you can marry the cat of your dreams, The Pool Area is a fun gathering place to just kick back and relax...sipping a catini by the pool. Then you can stop by the Memorial Wall and post a tribute to a Beloved Angel, Visit an ailing cat at Sick Bay, Hang out in the Theatre and watch movies, grab a bite to eat at Cathugger Grill and lastly play with your Angels at the Rainbow Bridge.
Oh, dont forget the Game Room for classic board games and so much more.
We hope you will all drop by and stay a while...maybe furever.

Cathugger has been in beta test mode since Thursday, March 24, 2011.
Although we have found a few glitches, all in all, we are very pleased with the feedback we have received!
Cathugger wishes to thank all the Beta Testers for their help. The data we have collected is very useful and has enabled us to make some necessary changes before our projected launch date of April 1, 2011.
