Biography: Hi! My name is Angel Sylvia Seville I am Domestic Shorthair from Jacksonville, FL Nicknames: Sylvie, Blue eyes, Miss soft bunny fur Age: 13 years old Gender: F Coat: short haired Education: I managed to survive outdoors in the winter, till Mom and Dad rescued me. (Okay I know it's Florida, but it is NORTH Florida. It gets pretty darn cold here) and beside that, when you're used to having food provided, it's pretty hard to go back to catching your own. So there! My favorite tricks and treats are: I don't do tricks, unless you count the fact that I'm very polite, and always speak back when I'm spoken to. Treats, well I like Pete's tuna flakes, and the Pounce tartar control crunchies are good too Where I hang out: I used to like resting on top of the DVR in the entertainment center it was warm and cozy, but kind of out of the mainstream. Now, I share the kitchen counter with Peter, Mom put a towel on the lower counter for me a couple of weeks ago and now I just love to hang out there. I can watch dad cook and I get a share of Pete's special treats, that dad slips to us when he's cooking. My favorite grubs: I like anything, I especially like fancy feast dry and fancy feast canned. The flaked fish and shrimp is great My pet peeves: Loud noises, Other kitties chasing me, vacuum cleaners What I love about my owners: Not my owners, but rather, my family, guardians, friends, What I love about them is that they're kind to me and they love me. When I got sick they loved me even more and at the end they were with me holding me and loving on me. My cat hobbies: I like to sneak out when the door is opened and then tease dad a little before I come back. Dad is really paranoid that the minute I go out, i'll run in the street and get hit by a car. He means well. How We Met: Mom and Dad were looking at a house as a rental investment property. It was empty and in pretty tough shape, but it was my home before my people moved away and left me behind. Dad started coming over and feeding me while the offers and counteroffers on the house went on. When it got cold, he put a little box with soft warm cloths in it on the porch for me. It had been a while since I'd had enough to eat so when dad started bringing me food every evening, I kind of overdid it. Any way that led to Dad thinking that I was pregnant and he said that, whatever happened with the house didn't matter I needed a home before I had kittens. (I wasn't pregnant) but he and mom took me to the vet, got me a physical (which proved I wasn't pregnant) and they had me checked out for any possible bad things the other kitties might catch. When I got a clean bill of health, I came to my new home and moved in with the family. It's been three years now and all of the other cats (except Ms. Murphy have finally decided to accept me) I was diagnosed with Liver Cancer in May of 2008 and Tests showed it was to far along to do anything for me. Dad was so sad. When I had bad days, dad would hold me and love on me. He would give me kisses me and tell me that I was his sweet blue eyed baby. My last days were not too bad, the pain medication helped but finally, I let him know it was time for me to go. Dad took me to our vet, and I crossed over at 3:30 PM on June 17th 2008. Dad was holding me in his arms and crying his heart out as we parted. When I first got sick,Murphy who was still a little grouchy to me finally came around and would give me grooming kisses as I lay on dad's pillow. PS. mom & dad never did get the house on Sylvia Street near Seville Street, but there are a couple of photos of me at the old place in the gallery on the bottom of the page. In the shot that shows the whole front of the house, I'm the little white speck. P.S. In the weeks before I crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Ms Murphy has finally told me that she loved me and welcomed me to the family. I knew my personality would finally win her over. Heh, heh, heh Pet motto: If you're a good cat, Good things happen.
