When I removed Hallie Baloo and Mak's pages off the other site this weekend, I didn't know how I would feel. It turns out that I was sad for just a bit, then I was glad to not feel like I was neglecting them any longer, or at least their profiles. There are friends that they will not see again, but the really important ones are linked to them in ways other than that website. So we move forward.

And forward it is. Wilson, Hallie and Mak are all over at Piewackit's page tonight, posting as if they were really talking. That is becoming a daily routine here at Cathugger and I am enjoying the heck out of that. Seeing Mom's and Dad's interact with their animals is very entertaining and the posts that some make thinking they were on another profile has given me some righteous belly laughs (ok yes I mean you April).

This brings me to those wonderful emoticons that Cathugger has provided us with. No one has to show any of us how to use those. Go ahead and give us the ability to show a mood and we will take that and run with it. Yes ... we have MOODS ... and thank you Dale and Neil for giving us the tools to express that.

Let's make Cathugger the best place in the internet world, we already have a great start!

Hello, my moniker is Furmonster Mom, and I am addicted.

I am addicted to CatHugger's page customization tools.

I just can't seem to find the willpower to put them down!em4600
I was up until 1:30 am, clicking on colors, boarders, backgrounds...
They've just made it so easy...

And just when I think I'm finished, I see yet another option.blink
My life will never be the same.

I didn't have this problem at that other site. There, you had to be able to work with code. 10700 Now, I was reasonably adept at using the text codes, but looking into page code, knowing what and where to put new code, making sure all the <> and . and <> and " and all the other i's and t's were dotted and crossed...
em4300 *whew* It was so intimidating, I didn't bother.

Then I came here.
And now I am addicted.
My monster's pages have never looked so ... colorful.
I hope they appreciate my pain.

Napa~ nono A dog got loose on Highway 29 in Napa today, shutting down both North and South bound lanes for a short while. With all the officers and some of the drivers out of their cars trying to catch the pooch, it was already a funny sight to see. But Fido wasn't having any part of the humans, when all these cars were available, specifically the tires, for a little marking.
I laughed ... and laughed ... and laughed some more. Then I looked at the guy in the car next to me and he looked at me and we both started laughing again (being that this was all happening in the southbound lanes and not ours).
This pooch was intent on peeing on the back tires of every single car that was stopped over there, and there were at least 100 at this point. I don't know how far he got, we were waved on, but I'm sure he will be making the papers tonight. Hopefully in the Sports section.

*sometimes you just get lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.

Ahoy Cathuggers~~ thumbup1

So we have now been live for 23 days now and things are going along well, we think!
The ship is big and yet you have been finding your way around fairly well. We would like to give special thanks to Furmonster Mom for her informative and useful guides in the Main Deck forum, called "Learning the Ropes". Its a very good place to start.

The main reason for this blog post is to let you all know about all the many features on the site that you may have overlooked.
The Explore tab is very important. Within it are many useful links.
The Events tab is excellent for things like Auctions and Fundraisers. Know someone who needs help with vet bills or other emergency? Post it under Events and keep track of it all in one organized place.
The Marketplace is a great place to sell your wares. First Mates and Admirals may post items for sale while all members may purchase items. If you make handmade items and list them elsewhere and pay a commission, list them here. We dont take any part of your sale. We simply ask that you support our site by upgrading your membership to at least a First Mate.
Our newest feature, Links, allows you to share a story from another source and post the link as well as a thumbnail and a brief snippet from the story in the main feed.
Everything you post can also be shared on Facebook and many other popular social networking sites.

This ought to keep you busy for awhile!
As always, if you have comments or questions, feel free to MeOWmail Command Central or email to commandcentral@cathugger.com

Today I have been thinking about when Pat N I will get into our new Home. we have yet to finish hooking up the Bathroom and finishing the floor in the Hall and Bathroom. Pat just found out he has a rare infection that is eatting away at his Breast Bone. If it continues before he can get into surgery again than he will need a plastic Breast bone to protect his internal Organs. That scares me. His Chest Bone is not healed and will not heal with the infection in the bone. It will almost be 1 year since the Heart BYPASS. In Tn we have 1 year to sue a Doctor so Pat and I are looking for an Attorney to sue the Dr and the Hospital. The OR was not clean and neither was the Surgeons operation.Send us many PRAYERS and Good Karma that we find a GREAT Lawyer and Pat will heal.
